Inspection and maintenance of this equipment shall be carried out by suitably trained personnel in accordance with the applicable code of practice e.g. EN 60079-17.

In areas which are dusty, damp or likely to be wet, the electrical installer must use equipment and boxes suitable for the conditions. For threaded entries, a rating of IP54 can be achieved by tightening the glands in the recommended manner.

Under testing of these products, it was found that IP rating could be achieved to IP6x. By assessing your requirements and the environment the glands are to be fitted we can confirm the suitability of your product. A rating of IP67 may be achieved with our glands using a sealing washer and thread sealant.
